Tape digitization and film processing center opens in Riyadh

· 2 min read

With our strategic partner Prasad Corp, we opened a state-of-the-art tape digitization and film processing center in 2025, the first of its kind in the Kingdom and the Middle East.

The opening of our tape digitization and film processing center in Riyadh in 2025 is the most important event in World Sound & Vision's recent history. Built with our strategic partner Prasad Corp, it is a unique opportunity to preserve the Kingdom's cultural and creative heritage.

The first of its kind

The center is the first of its kind in the Kingdom and the Middle East, and one of the few worldwide that brings together a leading local company and a global technology expert, bringing decades of international experience to the Kingdom.

What it offers

The center relies on the latest technology, led by the Scanity scanner, together with trained staff and global digitization standards. Its aim is to localize digitization services and guarantee secure, high-quality archiving.

Why it matters

It preserves the audiovisual heritage of the Kingdom and the GCC: films, documentaries, newsreels and historical footage. It removes the need to ship fragile media abroad, protecting content and reducing costs, risks and delays. Clients can also visit to watch the process themselves.

Supporting Vision 2030

The center supports Saudi Vision 2030 by bringing advanced technology, nurturing local talent, strengthening the media sector and improving digital infrastructure, establishing Riyadh as a leading digitization hub in the region.
